sleepless

I wake up alone in the middle of the night from vivid dreams where you’re right beside me. All I can think about is running to knock on your door and crashing into your arms. I’ll fall back to sleep but the next time I wake up you’ll be there too.

I don’t care about things that I can touch, I care about things that I can feel

haikus to the perfect girl stuck inside a jagged scarred frame

they speak mindlessly

why would anyone say that?

don’t listen to them

-

youre holding your arm

and its not just a habit

i can see the blood

-

you don’t know what’s wrong

you fear nobody can help

 your mind attacks you

-

i can’t figure out

how to possibly help you

please let me inside

-

you are not alone

i want to get in your head

to kill those demons

-

"i love you so much"

you say it all of the time

i feel so helpless

-

i see your smile now

it comes around more often

youre so beautiful

-

youre laughing more now

my nerves have eased up lately

i love you’s don’t hurt

-

your kisses are sweet

i could hold you forever

youre so innocent

-

your hair isnt down

but in that tight bun again

and i’m terrified

-

you say you’ll be fine

you just don’t feel well tonight

please don’t pick it up

-

just let me help you

what would i do without you?

these thoughts haunt me now

"   BiodiverSeed doesn’t promote non-GMO, heirloom seeds because of some an anti-science luddite agenda, irrationally afraid of genetic engineering.

BiodiverSeed promotes non-GMO, heirloom seeds because they belong to “the commons”: they are a genetic heritage that has been painstakingly created through generations of artificial selection, that is now available to everyone in all of it’s glorious diversity. BiodiverSeed promotes heirloom seeds because if they blow on to your property, you aren’t going to be sued for patent infringement. BiodiverSeed promotes heirloom seeds because you can harvest them in perpetuity, take cuttings, and share them with your friends, and re-sell them without having a lawyer show up at your door. They’re the open-source darling of the agricultural world

BiodiverSeed promotes heirloom seeds and seed activism because things like seed-swapping are becoming more and more difficult (and more and more illegal) in places like the EU.[1]

There are 7500 different kinds of apples, all with different vitamin and nutritional profiles. How many of us have tasted more than 10?[2]

In the world of industrial agriculture (that is, most of our food supply), we face a number of issues: deforestation, loss of pollinators, monoculture practices, soil erosion, phosphorous depletion, rampant pesticide use, genetic erosion, and genetic bottlenecks in seed stock. Preserving heirloom seed and growing biodynamic polycultures takes less space, encourages pollinators, invigorates the soil, preserves seed diversity, and over time, creates new varieties of seed uniquely suited to a biome.

So once again, BiodiverSeed doesn’t exist because of some bogus study on GMO corn causing tumours in rats: BiodiverSeed exists to promote sustainable seed practices, encourage bioregionalism, and to keep the right to seeds in the public domain.   "

Haunted

It’s been exactly 6 months since the last time we kissed.
I haven’t stopped thinking of it, I’ve been haunted ever since.

alternatively

in another universe, you kiss my scars

in another one, you kiss all the way up my arm

in another, you reach my mouth.

in another universe, you and i are one

in another one, we’ve been together for months

in another, we never even met

So let me tell you about the shittiest parent on the motherfucking planet.

I work at a grocery store and this man comes in with his 11 year old son. He buys a pack a cigarettes and a two cases of beer. The son was holding a two dollar drawing pad and placed it on the belt and I guess the dad didn’t notice it at first but when I was about to scan the pad he asked where’d it have come from and turned towards the kid and asked “Did you put that shit up there?”. He told me to put it back and then told his 11 year old child that he “ain’t paying for that gay ass notebook.”.  So I looked at the kid, who was close to tears and saying how he ran out of paper at home and my heart broke. So I gave the pad to him, for free, and told the dad I would take care of it. I gave the kid some tokens for a game outside and said I would look forward to buying some of his drawings and paintings when he’s all famous. He kids face was so priceless and I thought everything was good. But then, about 10 ten minutes after giving the kid his notebook, I walked outside and saw this. The drawing pad all ripped up and tossed on the pavement. I could only imagine what happened in the parking lot, but I know that that poor kid heart is fucking ripped apart, just like this pad.

I’m fucking horrified that there are parents like this, who, just because it’s not masculine or gender specificthey won’t let their children follow their true passions or explore interests that lead to their happiness. Even more so, I’m horrified that parents don’t care about the fine arts anymore because it doesn’t have job security. Since when did it ever matter to a child if their passion makes them money or not? Parenting is about supporting whatever makes your child happy. Have some fucking consideration for your child’s wants not your homophobic and anti-art ideals.

Unrequited

quiet minutes pass
“I don’t love him” I think as we sit
speechless
we’ve run out of things to say
then we lock eyes
and I want to tell him the story
of how the entire universe was made
over and over again
within those blue eyes
